OF HORSE, OF HEART is a new series of paintings devoted to my admiration, my love, and my zeal for the horses of the American West. Whenever I'm out in the vast spaces of the West looking for and discovering inspiration, I inevitably end up next to a horse. Their elegant form and powerful, graceful movements are a sight to behold especially when observed in the early morning or late afternoon light. I find their beauty is surpassed only by their profound ability to tune in to the human beside them. Few things in life are as lovely as their intuitive, spiritual energy. They're emotional antenna is one of life's marvels. Horses are truly medicine for the soul. Two of my favorite quotes about horses are; "Let a horse whisper in your ear and breathe on your heart. You will never regret it." and, "There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man."  This upcoming series of paintings will celebrate all of those lovely truths.
